My mom has always made home made strawberry jam...and now I don't like anything but...so It was only necessary that I learned how to make it myself. So on Saturday morning of conference me and my mom had a "jam session." It is actually a lot easier to make than I would have thought. And now I can have it whenever I want...so I am happy and Christian is definitely happy.

San Fran
After almost 3 months of Christian living 45 min from San Fran we finally got to take a day and go! It was awesome...almost like a more civilized New York. We took the BART from where we live straight into downtown San Fran. The BART is like a smaller version of the subway in NY. We walked up to the street and bam right in front of me stood the biggest Forever21 I have ever seen! 3 stories high...me and Christian were in heaven. After that we cruised over to Nordstrom then a couple others of our favorites. Then we got to meet up with some of Christians childhood friends from AZ. Kami and Jill Christiansen...it could not have made the trip more perfect...they luckily drove a car so we got to hit up some of the must see spots! First stop was Haight Street...could not have been more thrilled to be there... Hippyville is more like what it should be called. There were vintage and thrift shops a mile long! I highly recommend if you come. Then it was off to the Golden Gate Bridge....Way better in person! Jill is an amazing photographer and got some pics of us! Last but not least we went to "Fishermans Wharf" where I saw more fish than I have ever seen before! San Fran was a huge success only downfall...next time I will remember to dress more appropriately! San Fran in July= FREEZING!

Lately...
Wow...it has been way too long! Let's see so much has happened since I last blogged. Christian is still selling in San Jose, I am still loving my job as a teacher in the summer...who knew work could be so fun! I have bounced back and forth from Cali to Las Vegas the whole summer....... BECAUSE......Drum roll please!
We are moving to Las Vegas...and we couldn't be more excited! Christian was excepted to UNLV and I got a teaching job at Foothill Montessori! We are looking to buy a house and everything has really worked out too perfectly it's almost scary.
Looking for a house: It was fun the first 2 days...now I don't really care what it looks like or if it's ugly, smells....I DON'T CARE...anything will do! So exhausting... But we will be oh so happy when we finally have one!
UNLV: Christian has finally decided he would like to take after his fabulous grandpa, father, and now brother and be a DENTIST! I can't say I was too upset. With this he would really like to go to the UNLV dental school so we have decided to transfer to UNLV in hopes to have an easier chance of getting into the dental program in the near future. Fingers Crossed! Go REBELS!
Family: One of the biggest perks of moving to Las Vegas is I get to be neighbors with my best friends! Yes my family! And... 4 hours from the Otteson's, 4 hours from Cali, and 5 hours from our previous home...UTAH!
In all we have a lot to be thankful for and can't wait for this next step in our lives!

Foothill Montessory: One condition with moving was I had to have a job... no exceptions! This being said I never thought I even had a chance... especially with a teaching job! Miracles do happen...I was offered a job here as a "primary teacher" 4-6 year olds. Coming from a Kindergarten position I felt like this was right up my ally! I start this fall and couldn't be more excited to have this opportunity.

LoneRanger
Wow...you would think with no husband for the past 3 weeks I would have mucho mucho time to blog?? For some reason I find since he has not been around I have a lot more to do! Seems he actually did a lot more than I thought! I was so spoiled to have the house vacuumed and spotless every time I get home...now I am in charge of that. I have realized these past couple weeks how much I truly love married life and having your best friend with you 24/7...it's definitely much more quiet now that it's just LuLu and me. I am so proud of my cute husband for willingly going to California and selling weird pest control so we can be happy! Even though I miss him more than life it's self.... Can't wait to see him in 2 1/2 weeks! I hope it's the fastest 2 1/2 weeks of my life....
Sincerely... lonely girl

Our Stay-Vacation
This past week was my spring break... It was so nice to have an entire week off work! There was only one problem...Christian was busier than ever this week with school. 20 page research page, 3 tests, and an oral presentation all in 4 days. So on thursday night we decided to book a room up at the Park City Hyatt Escada for friday night. It was a perfect little getaway! We started out by dropping off LuLu at Aunt Patti's in Salt Lake. We then drove up to the Gateway mall to do a little shopping then headed up to Park City. When we checked in to the hotel we got a little surprise of our own! The concierge asked if we would be alright being upgraded to a suite?? Uh DUH we were stoked!! We walked into the room and were even more impressed than we thought! We then ate a lovely dinner at our favorite place "Pizza Noodle" then back to the hotel for a divine hot tub! It was the perfect "stay-vacation!

Our little baby girl...
This is LuLu....she is quite possibly the funniest dog I have ever seen. She loves people more than anything! She sleeps right in between me and Christian every night...she insists on laying as close as possible making it 700 degrees at night!! But we do absolutely love her and she keeps our life pretty entertaining.
This was her as a pup....
This is her wild as ever...now
Our New Humble Abode...we love it!
What can I say...I think one of the most fun parts about getting married is getting to have a place of your own! Me and Christian have had so much fun decorating our little place!!
This is the only size table that would fit in our little home, so here is our little bar where we eat in.....on Sunday!
Here is where me and Christian spend most of our time...watching our favorite shows and enjoying ours and others company.
Here is where we rest our sweet heads at night after a long day of school/work.
Here is the so called master bath.... where well you know.
Here is MY closet...yes I know it's embarrassing...it was my only request for our place!
Christians comes later....
Here is my eyelash extension room....where I do well eyelashes...pretty self explanatory!
Ps. I do love it!
Here is the guest bathroom...and thank goodness for this...could be a little awkward to have all our guests go through our room to get to the bathroom!
Here is the guest room...didn't think it would get much use...but surprisingly it has been very useful! We love having guests!
I have had so much fun decorating, I can't wait to be able to actually decorate a real home in....who knows when...

A Final Decision!!!
Well it only took us 2 months to decide....but drum roll please..... we are going to San Jose California for the summer! Christian decided to go with pest control. We couldn't be happier...we get to be with our best friends all summer long. Granite Christian will be working all day and I will be playing...but I guess that's what you get when I work all year! Guess it's my turn to play and his turn to work! Though I really wish that we could both be able to play. The only bad part about this situation is that Christian leaves 6 weeks before me! I don't know what I will do without him for 6 weeks. Lulu can only entertain me for so long. I really do appreciate all that he does for our little family. I know that he doesn't love to knock doors all summer long in the scalding hot weather...but he does...for us. I think the longest we have ever been apart since we were married was like 10 hours this really will be a big struggle for us both. A little nauseating I know...but come on I'm a newly wed!

V-day...Love It!!
Our Valentines Day was absolutely a fairy-tale! I got home from work on friday absolutely exhausted! Christian told me to get ready and that we were going out tonight for Valentines Day! We started out at a very cool restaurant that we had been wanting to go to for some time, Communal, it was divine! I got salmon and sweet potatoes and Christian got pork roast and garlic mashed potatoes. It was delish, then to top it off we got apple crisp for dessert. Afterwards we went back to the house, picked up Lu-Lu and drove to Park City to stay at Christians parents cabin! When I walked down the stairs into the cabin, Christian had previously drove up and laid rose petals into the bedroom where jewelry, chocolates, and a bouquet of flowers! It was absolutely perfect...we watched a movie and went to bed. The next morning we drove down Main St. in Park City and got lunch at our favorite restaurant Main Street Pizza & Noodle. We then drove back to Provo where he had booked a couples massage for the both of us....needless to say it was divine!! I truly have the best husband ever, he made my day perfect! I love him dearly! Here's to many, many, many more Valentines Day with my hubby!! Love you boo
